We are one of the first homecare companies to offer this as a way to safeguard your money.

Cleva is a virtual 'cashless' mastercard that our PA’s hold. Client's can upload funds, as required, via their preferred payment method and the PA can use those funds to spend on the client's behalf such as shopping, paying for medications or days out. This eliminates any need for the PA to have access to a client's debit card or cash - which is not safe for the client or the PA. Client's are then sent (or can access an APP for instant information) a monthly statement showing any spending, funds deposit and copies of receipts.

How does Cleva work?

A client (or a client's Power of Attorney) will have a special shopping account with us, which can be topped up with money. We call this a client ‘wallet’.

The PA will have a Cleva card and will use this card to shop for their clients, spending money from their ‘wallets’. Cleva tracks and records every transaction and the PA will add a receipt for every purchase, so the client can see what is being bought for them.

At the end of every month, we send the client a list of what we’ve bought for them, via email or post. Trusted family and friends can also use the Cleva app, so they are able to monitor what’s being spent on the client's behalf.

What if I don't have a Smartphone or Computer?

Don’t worry if you don’t have online access. Cleva will automatically track your spending for you and we’ll send you monthly statements in the post.

How do I stop using Cleva?

To stop using Cleva, just contact us to let us know and we will cancel your wallet and refund any money unspent.

What happens If I leave A Perfect PA?

If you decide to leave A Perfect PA, any remaining funds in your Cleva account will be returned to your bank account.

Is my money safe?

Yes, absolutely! All funds are held safely in a special ring-fenced bank account, which ensures your money is protected at all times.

What happens if I don’t use all my money?

If you don’t use all your money, it remains safe inside your Cleva ‘wallet’ for the next shopping trip.

Why can’t I give cash or use my own card?

It is not good practice or safe for anyone outside of your family to use your cash or cards, this includes anybody caring or supporting you.

How much will this cost?

Cleva costs £5.00 per month which will be added onto your invoice.

How much money should I top up each month?

Once your Cleva card account is set up, we advise anyone to top up a minimum of £50.00. We may recommend some clients top up more or less based on pervious spending needs.

What happens if I decide not to use Cleva?

A Perfect PA will not be able to take your personal cards or cash to pay for items unless you are present and can pay using your card or your cash yourself. This is to safeguard you and our PA's.

How can my family or Power of Attorney see what’s being spent?

Your family or Power of Attorney can use the Cleva mobile app to see what is being spent on your behalf, at any time.

What happens if I go shopping with my PA?

You can use your own bank card or cash if you are there to make the transaction personally.
